* WHAT…For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions.
Afternoon temperatures 106 to 113. Major Heat Risk. For the Blowing
Dust Advisory, visibility between one-quarter and one mile in
blowing dust expected.
* WHERE…Gila Bend, Northwest Pinal County, Sonoran Desert Natl
Monument, Tonopah Desert, and West Pinal County.
* WHEN…For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM MST Friday. For the
Blowing Dust Advisory, from 5 PM this afternoon to 10 PM MST this
evening.
* IMPACTS…Hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibility.
Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat
events. Overexposure can cause heat cramps and heat exhaustion to
develop and, without intervention, can lead to heat stroke.
