The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) has issued a warning about a new phone scam targeting local residents. Scammers posing as PCSO employees are calling individuals, falsely claiming they have outstanding warrants for missing jury duty and demanding immediate payment.
Officials stress that PCSO will never request payment over the phone or ask residents to purchase gift cards to settle fines. Residents are advised to take the following precautions:
- Do not provide any personal information to these callers.
- Avoid meeting the caller in person under any circumstances.
- To verify the identity of anyone claiming to be a PCSO employee, call the official number at 520-866-5111.
The Sheriff’s Office urges residents to stay vigilant. Remember, legitimate law enforcement agencies do not conduct business in this manner.

Yep. I was called for that jury duty scam! I have the number that called and left me a message and the number they left me to call back. Verified my name and birthdate that they gave me and when I said I worked for pinal county and wanted their name to turn them in for fraud they hung up. I have the voice mail also if you want to contact me to follow up on this.
