Graffiti Suspect in Custody After Weeks-Long Investigation

APACHE JUNCTION, AZ — AJPD took a 19-year-old graffiti suspect into custody, concluding a weeks-long criminal damage investigation. Detectives identified him and linked graffiti incidents at dozens of locations across the community. In total, the department says multiple victims suffered more than $1,000 in combined property damage.

Community Reports Helped Identify the Graffiti Suspect

Reports from residents and business owners played a critical role in solving the case, according to the department. These reports helped investigators identify patterns, gather evidence, and ultimately connect the incidents to a suspect during the criminal damage investigation.

Reporting Future Criminal Damage

AJPD encourages residents to report graffiti or other suspicious criminal damage to the non-emergency line at (480) 982-8260. According to the department, even small pieces of information can help investigators connect cases, identify suspects, and prevent additional incidents.
