Pinal County has experienced a significant increase in voter registration numbers since the last presidential election. County Recorder Dana Lewis revealed that registered voters have grown from approximately 248,874 in November 2020 to over 300,000 currently.

“It is interesting to look at voter registration growth,” Lewis stated during a recent Board of Supervisors meeting. “People always talk about the ebbs and flows in voter registration, especially coming into a presidential general election year.”
Lewis also noted a common trend of increased registrations between primary and general elections. “Some people don’t like to participate in the primaries, but they will then become interested in a general election. So we always see that influx between those two different styles of elections,” she explained.
This surge in voter registration could potentially impact the upcoming 2024 elections in Pinal County. Political analysts will be closely watching to see how this increased voter base might influence election outcomes.
