The Pinal County Board of Supervisors has approved a major new housing development in northeast Florence, transforming nearly 100 acres of rural land into a residential subdivision. The project, known as Rock Creek, will be located Southeast of Judd Road and Cypress Drive. This area, which is currently undeveloped, is set to see significant changes.

During the meeting, Mr. Bach from the planning department presented the rezoning proposal, changing the land designation from GR (General Rural Zone) to R7 (Single Residence Zone) to accommodate the subdivision. The development will include a community park, aiming to create public spaces alongside the new homes.

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the rezoning request.
