McDonald’s Inside Casa Grande Walmart Closed Following Overnight Fire

A fire broke out at the McDonald’s restaurant inside a Walmart store in Casa Grande early on Saturday, March 29th prompting an emergency response from local firefighters.

According to officials, the Casa Grande Fire Department responded to reports of a fire at approximately 2:13 AM. Upon arrival, crews observed smoke in the building and upgraded the emergency assignment.

When firefighters entered the building to investigate, they discovered that a single sprinkler head had activated in the McDonald’s dining area. The sprinkler system successfully contained the fire, preventing it from spreading and causing additional damage to the store.

The quick response from firefighters, along with assistance from partners at the Eloy Fire District and Gila River Fire, helped bring the incident under control rapidly. No injuries were reported among McDonald’s employees or fire personnel.

While the cause of the fire remains under investigation, authorities have stated they do not suspect suspicious activity.

The McDonald’s location sustained fire, smoke, and water damage and will be temporarily closed while repairs are completed. No timeline for reopening has been announced.
