Oracle State Park – Dark Sky Park Celebration and Star Party

We will celebrate International Dark Sky Week and our designation from 2014 as an International Dark Sky Park. The evening will include fish tacos available for purchase from La Bufadora Food Truck starting at 6:30 PM, a proclamation of International Dark Sky Week from Pinal County Supervisor McClure at 7:00 PM, and star viewing with the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. We will also have a ranger showcasing Oracle State Park’s computerized telescope, which will project stunning views of deep-space objects for group viewing. 

Please meet me at the ranch house patio. If you would like a place to sit, we recommend bringing folding chairs, as our patio seating may fill up during the event. The Star Party does not require registration and is free with regular park admission.
