A Fatal Parachuting Incident is under investigation at Skydive Arizona in Eloy, AZ.
On 01-24-2025, the Eloy Police Department and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) are investigating a fatal parachuting incident that occurred at Skydive Arizona, 4900 N. Taylor Street in Eloy, earlier today.
At approximately 4:06 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to the Skydive Arizona following reports of a parachutist experiencing complications during descent. Upon arrival, medical personnel located the individual and initiated life-saving measures. Unfortunately, the parachutist was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The parachutist is identified as Ann Wick (55 YOA) out of Minnesota. The next of kin has been notified. The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
The FAA and other relevant agencies will conduct a thorough review of equipment, procedures, and circumstances surrounding the incident. Further details will be released as they become available.
