CASA GRANDE, AZ — A residential fire on North Trekell Road brought Casa Grande Fire Department crews to the scene, where they found the home fully engulfed in flames. According to the department, units arrived in roughly three and a half minutes. Officials reported the incident occurred in the 200 block at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026.
Firefighters worked rapidly to suppress the blaze. However, officials said conditions at the scene affected some neighboring homes despite efforts to shield them.

According to the department, crews searched all affected homes and confirmed no occupants were inside. Additionally, fire officials reported one nearby resident was evaluated on scene.

The American Red Cross assisted displaced residents, according to the fire department. Meanwhile, the Casa Grande Fire Department credited the Eloy Fire District, Gila River Fire Department, and Maricopa Fire Department for providing support.

Officials said investigators have not yet determined what sparked the fire. The department is asking anyone with information to contact the Casa Grande Fire Department Fire Prevention Division at 520-421-8777.
