Superstition Fire & Medical District crews responded to a barn fire near Broadway Avenue on Monday afternoon. The blaze broke out in a backyard structure near E. Broadway Avenue and South Arroya Road.
Firefighters arrived at approximately 4:45 p.m. and found the barn fully engulfed in flames.
Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire conditions. As a result, they immediately adopted a defensive firefighting strategy. This approach prioritized containing the flames and protecting nearby homes.
The decision proved effective. Firefighters successfully prevented the fire from spreading to surrounding exposures. They brought the blaze under control quickly.
The structure fire near Broadway Avenue resulted in no injuries. Both civilians and firefighters emerged unharmed from the emergency response.
