Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers arrested a driver on October 25, 2025, following a high-speed chase on Interstate 10 near Eloy. The incident began when a Highway Patrol trooper conducting speed enforcement captured a vehicle on LiDAR traveling about 100 MPH with no rear lights.
The car was also struggling to stay in its lane. A traffic stop was initiated, but the driver refused to yield.
The vehicle continued driving recklessly as the pursuit began. Pinal County Sheriff’s deputies joined the chase. Troopers deployed a spike strip successfully about ten miles from the initial observation point.
The spike strip flattened the vehicle’s tire. However, the car continued moving despite the damage. Deputies then performed a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle. Troopers blocked the car from the rear.
Troopers arrested the driver and observed signs of impairment. The driver displayed pinpoint pupils and appeared disoriented. After troopers read her Miranda Rights, she refused to answer questions.
The driver faces charges for felony flight, excessive speed, and reckless driving. DUI charges are pending the results of blood tests.
