The Arizona Department of Transportation will close US 60 between Superior and Miami from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily as part of a bridge replacement project. A detour through Winkelman via SR 77 and SR 177 will add about an hour of travel time.

The Pinal County Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval of “Project Ranger,” a 1,105-acre manufacturing development south of Florence. The project could revive the long-dormant Magma Arizona Railroad to support both the facility and Resolution Copper’s nearby filter plant.
