(GRPD)
The Gila River Police Department recently caught a semi-truck driver dumping empty plastic water jugs beside a road. It is a case of illegal dumping Gila River police are warning the public about.

Officer Murphy and Kisto were on patrol in the Gila River Indian Community at the time.

The department said illegal dumping in the community carries serious consequences. Anyone caught could face arrest or a citation, a substantial fine, and the seizure of their vehicle or equipment. Offenders may also have to clean up whatever they leave behind.

It added that the Gila River Indian Community should not be treated as a place to dump waste, urging anyone considering illegal dumping to think twice.
