Reckless Driving at 90 MPH Lands Maricopa Driver in Jail

A reckless driving arrest in Maricopa occurred on January 28, 2026, after a driver nearly caused a head-on collision. Arizona DPS troopers stopped the woman on eastbound Maricopa Casa Grande Highway near White and Parker Road around 11:30 a.m.

According to troopers, the driver was estimated to be traveling at least 90 mph in a 50 mph zone. She passed a pickup truck with a trailer in a no-passing zone. She then nearly struck an oncoming cement truck while attempting another pass.

When stopped, she told troopers she was late returning to work. Officers arrested her and booked her into Pinal County Jail on reckless driving charges. Her vehicle was towed and impounded for 20 days.
