The Arizona Department of Transportation will conduct paving and road repair at the intersection of Attaway Road and SR 287. Work will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on January 5–7, 2026.
Closure Schedule
Monday, January 5 – Tuesday, January 6 (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.)
- SR 287 northbound left lane closed (milepost 137–138)
- Attaway Road traffic restricted to right turns only at SR 287; no through traffic at the intersection
Tuesday, January 6 – Wednesday, January 7 (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.)
- SR 287 northbound and southbound right lanes closed (milepost 137–138)
- Attaway Road closed at SR 287 in both directions for mill and fill operations
Detour Routes
Southbound Attaway Road: Hunt Highway → south on SR 79 → right on Butte → west to Main Street → south on Main Street → roundabout → SR 287
Northbound Attaway Road: Vah Ki Inn Road east → left on Valley Farms Road → right on SR 287 → north on Main Street → right on Butte → left on SR 79 → left on Hunt Highway → Attaway Road
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
