The City of Casa Grande, Arizona (the “City”), will hold a bond election on November 4, 2025, requesting approval of bonds to provide funds to construct, improve and acquire community, neighborhood, regional and aquatic parks, including recreational facilities, buildings, amenities and improvements; to acquire land for parks, recreational facilities, buildings, and open spaces; to make improvements, additions, and replacements to existing parks and recreational facilities and buildings; to landscape, furnish and equip existing and new parks and recreational facilities and buildings, and pay all necessary legal, financial, consulting and other costs and fees in connection therewith, in the principal amount not to exceed $67,000,000. The estimated average annual bond tax rate per $100 of net assessed limited property valuation is $.5539.
An informational pamphlet will be mailed to households of registered voters within the City. Any persons, organization or political committee wishing to submit a statement “for” or “against” the bond question may do so by mail or hand delivery of the statement to the Office of the City Clerk, City of Casa Grande, 510 E. Florence Blvd., Casa Grande, Arizona 85122; telephone: (520) 421-8600. The argument shall not exceed 300 words in length, not including the signature block, and with each argument supporting or opposing the proposition, one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be deposited with the City Clerk to offset a portion of the proportionate cost of paper and printing the argument.
If the argument is from an organization, it shall contain the sworn statement of two of its executive officers. If the argument is submitted by a political committee, it shall contain the sworn statement of the chairperson or treasurer. The sworn statement must include the following statement above the signature line: “I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing information is true and correct, and I am the sponsor of this argument advocating or opposing this proposition.” If the argument is submitted by an individual and not on behalf of an organization, a political committee or any other group, the person shall submit the argument with a sworn, notarized statement. Persons signing the argument shall identify themselves by giving their residence address and telephone number, which may not appear in the informational pamphlet, except that the person’s identity, city or town, and state of residence shall appear in the pamphlet. Any argument that is submitted and that does not comply with this subdivision may not be included in the pamphlet.
The signed, sworn and/or notarized statement and deposit must be received in the Office of the City Clerk on or before 5:00 p.m. of August 5, 2025. The last day to register to vote for this election is October 6, 2025.
