The Gila River Police Department has received over $90,000 in state traffic safety grants from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to strengthen DUI and speed enforcement across the community.

The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin lane restrictions on State Route 187 between Interstate 10 and SR 87 starting October 14 for pavement rehabilitation work on the Gila River Indian Community. Drivers should expect delays, flagging operations, and reduced speed limits through mid-October.
