A new cell phone tower has been proposed for construction in San Tan Valley, according to recent documents filed with Pinal County. There is a residential zone near the tower. A Special Use Permit is required for the construction of the wireless communication facility.
The proposed tower would be situated on a 5.07-acre parcel south of E. Heritage Rd and west of N. Mitchell Trail in Pinal County.

The plans call for an 85-foot tower disguised as a “mono-elm” tree, intended to to blend in with the surrounding landscape. The tower would be enclosed within a 50′ x 50′ compound surrounded by an 8-foot high wall.
