GILA RIVER INDIAN COMMUNITY, AZ — On March 16, 2026, the Gila River Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) conducted an operation to locate Angel Roxanne Sullivan, a Gila River Indian Community member who was identified as a fugitive from justice.
Sullivan had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service stemming from an original charge of homicide.
Following an intensive search within the Community, detectives successfully located Sullivan. She was taken into custody without incident and subsequently booked into the Gila River Indian Community Department of Rehabilitation and Supervision (DRS).
During the course of the investigation, SIU detectives also located a missing juvenile who had been reported missing from the jurisdiction of the Queen Creek Police Department. The juvenile was safely recovered.

Under Gila River Indian Community Criminal Code §5.709 – Interference with Custody, a person commits the offense of interference with custody if, with knowledge that they have no privilege or right to do so, they take, entice, keep from lawful custody, or harbor a minor child from the lawful custody of a parent, guardian, or custodian, or an incompetent person entrusted by authority of law to the custody of another person or institution.
