Apache Junction Water Workshop Series Explores Arizona Water History in November

Apache Junction, AZ — The City of Apache Junction will host a three-part water workshop series this November focused on Arizona’s water history, regulations, and infrastructure systems.

The Apache Junction water workshop will bring experts from the Arizona Department of Water Resources, Central Arizona Project, and Salt River Project to the Apache Junction Library to discuss critical water resources education and issues facing the region.

The workshop schedule includes:

  • Nov. 5, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.Arizona’s Water History and Regulations with Laney Meeker
  • Nov. 12, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.The Central Arizona Project: Past, Present, and Future with Rudy Fischer
  • Nov. 19, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.The Salt River Project: Past, Present, and Future with Tim Skarupa

All workshops will take place in the Opal Room at Apache Junction Library, located at 1177 N. Idaho Rd.

As an added incentive, two desert-adapted plants from the Boyce Thompson Arboretum will be raffled at each session.
