The Pinal County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the 149-unit Village at Pecan Grove development after an executive session to clarify jurisdiction following San Tan Valley’s incorporation. The project adds two-story housing north of Encanterra with updated traffic studies, utility coordination, and 14 stipulations for final approval.

The Pinal County Planning & Zoning Commission voted 8-1 to recommend approval of a major amendment to the Village at Pecan Grove in San Tan Valley, adding 49 two-story homes alongside 100 single-story units. The project now heads to the Board of Supervisors for final approval, with traffic, neighborhood impact, and design changes at the center of community debate.

A proposed 240-unit apartment complex and daycare in San Tan Valley was sent back to the Planning and Zoning Commission after strong public opposition and a 3-2 Board of Supervisors vote. The remand gives the developer a chance to redesign the project with a greater emphasis on commercial uses in line with community and Board preferences.
