Peralta Trailhead Closed After Aggressive Bobcat Reports

The Tonto National Forest has closed Peralta Trailhead effective immediately after reports of aggressive bobcat behavior. Officials received reports of a bobcat displaying aggressive behavior toward hikers. Consequently, the popular trail is now off-limits to all visitors until further notice.

Forest officials cited public health and safety as the primary reasons for this action. Meanwhile, wildlife authorities have been notified and are investigating the situation. The Tonto National Forest stated it will release updates as more information becomes available.
