First Responders Charity Ball

The Sparrow Campaign is committed to supporting first responders with our efforts to host our charity ball. While we host a high quality awards, plated dinner, and dance; we also host a silent auction which the proceeds are then donated to a beneficiary related to first responder support. This year will be the 100 Club of Arizona.
In reference to the awards, below is a description of the awards, with the newest one being the Legacy Award:
Legacy Award for Distinguished Service
The Legacy Award honors a first responder with over 20 years of exceptional service. This accolade recognizes their unwavering commitment, bravery, and professionalism. Through countless emergencies, they have demonstrated exemplary courage and compassion, embodying true heroism.
Their legacy is one of sacrifice and resilience. With this award, we celebrate their remarkable career and the profound impact they have had on our community. Their contributions will be remembered and cherished for generations.
We express our deepest gratitude for their extraordinary service and honor them as a beacon of inspiration and a pillar of strength in our community.
Sharonda Dean Memorial Spirit Award
This award is a tribute to the enduring spirit of Sharonda Dean, a dedicated detective with the Eloy Police Department, known for her profound compassion for her career, her community, and especially her victims. Sharonda’s unwavering commitment to justice and her empathetic approach to law enforcement set her apart as a beacon of hope and humanity.
Beyond her professional duties, Sharonda was deeply involved in numerous community service projects, tirelessly working to make a positive impact. Her selfless dedication extended to her family and fellow officers, always finding time to support and uplift those around her.
The Sharonda Dean Spirit Memorial Award celebrates individuals who exemplify the values, compassion, service, and unwavering support for their community that Sharonda so passionately demonstrated. This award honors those who, like Sharonda, go above and beyond in their commitment to making the world a better place.
2024 First Responder of the Year Award
This prestigious award honors a first responder—as the first two awards, this can be a firefighter, law enforcement officer, corrections officer, EMS personnel, or veteran—who has gone above and beyond in the course of their duties. This individual exemplifies extraordinary dedication, bravery, and commitment to service and community.
Their actions have not only safeguarded lives and property but also inspired others through their selfless service and unwavering resolve. They consistently demonstrate a profound dedication to their community, making a lasting impact on the lives of those they protect and serve. This award can also include incidents where the nominee saved a life, showed exceptional community involvement, and contributed significantly to the mission of the organization, regardless of the task at hand.
The First Responder of the Year Award celebrates their exceptional contributions and recognizes them as a true hero, whose commitment to excellence and public service serves as a example for others to follow.
