Casa Grande residents will soon have an additional day to utilize the city’s curb-to-curb transit service, as Casa Grande Link (CG LINK) announces the addition of Saturday operations starting November 2.

The expansion comes just over a year after the service’s launch in October 2023, during which time CG LINK has served nearly 34,000 passengers. Transit Manager Deb Brunner noted that Saturday service was always part of the original vision for the system.

CG LINK operates as a demand-response transit service in southern Casa Grande, providing residents with curb-to-curb transportation to key destinations including downtown, Banner Medical Center, the Dorothy Powell Senior Center, libraries, and shopping centers like Walmart and Promenade Mall.

To use the service, residents can schedule rides up to seven days in advance through multiple booking options: calling dispatch at (520) 509-6900, using the CG LINK Rider App, or visiting the service’s website. Regular fares are $1.50 per one-way trip, with reduced fares of $1.25 available for seniors, disabled individuals, veterans, and youth between 6-15 years old. Children under 5 ride free with a paying adult.

For more information see the CG LINK Website.

Regional Connectivity

CG LINK serves as a vital link to the broader Central Arizona Regional Transit (CART) system, which connects Casa Grande with Florence, Coolidge, and Central Arizona College. CART operates Monday through Friday from 5:15 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with buses running regularly along fixed routes.

For Casa Grande residents looking to travel throughout Pinal County, CG LINK can transport them to any of four CART bus stops within the city. Key CART stops in Casa Grande include downtown at 5th Street and Drylake Street, Fry’s Plaza, Banner Casa Grande Medical Center, and the Pinal County Complex.

CART fares are separate from CG LINK, with one-way tickets costing $2.00 for adults and disabled/senior riders, and $1.00 for children 12 and under or students with valid ID. Daily and monthly passes are also available.

Both transit services are fully accessible, with wheelchair lifts, priority seating for seniors and persons with disabilities, and accommodations for passengers using portable oxygen or respirators. The integration of CG LINK and CART provides residents with comprehensive transportation options throughout the region.

Operating hours for CG LINK will remain 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for both weekday and new Saturday service. As with the existing service, advance reservations are recommended, and riders can track their vehicle’s arrival through real-time notifications on the CG LINK Rider App.
