Driver Provides False Identity During Stop

When approached, the driver acted evasively about whether he had driven the Charger. Additionally, he did not have any identification on him. Troopers instructed him to write his name, address, and date of birth.

However, troopers researched the vehicle’s history and found problems with his story. The vehicle was not registered to him. Furthermore, MVD driver record photos disproved the information he provided. Troopers used these records to establish his true identity.

As a result of the investigation, troopers arrested the driver. He was booked on three charges: false reporting to law enforcement, reckless driving, and driving on a suspended license.

In a follow-up, one of the troopers contacted the motorist who made the original call. The trooper informed him of the outcome. The caller was ecstatic that AZDPS reached out with the update.
