According to the PCSO report, a masked suspect entered the business armed with a handgun. In a violent turn of events, the suspect reportedly used the weapon to strike two employees before fleeing the scene with a small amount of cash.

Authorities have released a description of the suspect:

  • Hispanic male

The suspect was wearing a mask during the robbery, which has raised concerns among some local residents. There are reports of community members expressing worry that COVID-related mask policies may be providing cover for individuals to commit violent crimes with increased anonymity.
