Town of Florence Announces Open Town Council Seats for the 2026 Election

The Town of Florence will hold its Primary Election on August 4, 2026. At that election, three Town Councilmembers will be elected to four-year terms, and one Town Councilmember will be elected to a two-year term. The Council seats currently held by Vice-Mayor Cathy Adam, Councilmember Neal, Councilmember Buccellato, and Councilmember Maldonado are set to expire in 2026.
Residents interested in running for public office may obtain a candidate packet, which includes the required forms and petitions, by visiting the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall, located at 755 N. Main Street, Florence, Arizona, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Beginning January 5, 2026, Town Hall will be open Monday – Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Potential candidates may visit during regular operating hours or schedule an appointment with the Town Clerk’s Office.
Candidates are required to file a Statement of Interest prior to receiving any petitions. All completed candidacy forms must be submitted in person to the Town Clerk’s Office, located at 775 N. Main Street, Florence, Arizona. Electronic submissions are not permitted.
The official candidate filing period opens March 7, 2026, and closes April 6, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
